Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing freshphone on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Awesome service. Am loving the App allot as start up business owner. My only request is please can you add the option to select number demographically like the option to use 011 or any landline number in the country. Keep up the great work

Excellent and easy to use

Some while back I noticed that the App started to launch two calls when a call is placed i.e. you heard two sound streams a second or so apart. After raising a ticket with Freshphone I found a solution. I had GSM integration enabled in settings. Once I disabled it, the problem was solved (seems so anyway). Call quality is variable, many times the person called will ask if I am on Skype etc or complain they can't hear. This varies call to call.The App has built in record function which seems to work well and once you disable GSM integration, the dial screen places a big red button for you to press if you want to record the call. When it works, it works well and represents good value as there is no monthly charge allied with low calling rates. Mostly recommended.

App worked initially after signing up and buying R50 airtime. Then I experienced people unable to hear me as if the mic is turned off. Finally to add insult to injury the app gives a huge error on trying to login with my credentials. I can login to their web ui perfectly with my credentials. Same error after re-installing the app. What a downer.

App is good. Needed some time to get to work on incoming calls. Now they all come through. Biggest problem is when making calls mic not working, but working when recieving calls. How wiered? Can you guys do something about it?

Works great on my phone...but when i am in my car...i can hear the person...but they cant hear me. Does not happen when i am on a normal call on my phone through the car. :(
