About this app

The words ‘Azadi ki Udaan’ form part of our ethos working with Women with Disabilities since 1985. Born out of a need to recognize a minority which has had little visibility or voice, we aimed to create transformation and change. Our research reveals that 11.8 million Women with Disabilities in India typically occupy positions of extreme marginalization and exclusion that make them more vulnerable to violence than other women. Violence remains a serious area of concern for Women with Disabilities, both as an individual experience and a structural reality that systematically oppresses them.
Therefore as part of our Campaign Azadi Ki Udaan to End Violence against Women with Disabilities we introduce this mobile application which has important as well as useful information related to Domestic Violence and Health Rights of Women with Disabilities. As we are at present working in Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha and Telangana we have included respective state schemes in the application.
