Pioneiro na divulgação do "Samba & Pagode" no Rio de janeiro, nos anos 80 e 90, através da Rádio Tropical FM, que alcançou liderança de audiência e foi modelo para várias emissoras em todo país.Direção de programação: Radialista e Atriz Isabel Ramos.Em seu livro, "Deixa o Samba me levar", Zeca Pagodinho escreveu:
"Um dos responsáveis pelo sucesso do disco foi a Rádio Tropical, que funcionava no Rio com a frequência 104,5 FM. O dono da emissora, Armando Campos, foi um dos primeiros a perceber o "boom" do pagode e começou a tocar os sambistas que vinham surgindo. E não era só isso: A rádio também divulgava a programação das rodas de samba, ajudando a movimentar os pagodes do subúrbio numa época em que ainda não tinham a atenção da grande mídia".
