I needed an offline copy of wikipedia for study while away from broadband. I was using Wikidroyd - which is also great and slightly better formatted, but their wiki files are 2 years old which is useless if you are studying current affairs. With this software you can create an up to date local copy of wikipedia from the latest downloaded files on your PC and then move it to your android phone and it just works. I can't thank the developers enough for this. I could find no other software that provided this ability to have the most up to date files. It is a lifesaver.

You have to manually download Wiki dumps and convert them using the Windows tool (works in Linux with Wine), which is this app's curse AND excellency. It's more work, but you can always have the latest version of the dump. To use wikiconvert.exe, you must first unpack the xml file from the bz2 dump. Put it somewhere together with the exe and create a new folder named eg. "nowiki". Navigate there with a command line, type "wikiconvert.exe

It works well so far- very fast. But text is so tiny that I can't read it. Perhaps a setting to change fonts...?

Wouldn't star. Just kept flashing the screen. I suspect it's so outdated it won't run on a modern phone.
