This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing The Droidalyzer on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

This is NOT an actual "BAC" reader! You can't even prank friends because the reading is there before you even blow! Don't even waste your time downloading :-/

About this app

The Droidalyzer is an open source, Bluetooth alcohol detector accessory for Android Phones which can be purchased at http://droidalyzer.com. After pairing the device to your phone using Bluetooth, breathe into the device's alcohol sensor and then check your alcohol level from your phone.

The Droidalyzer is a novelty device for entertainment purposes only and is not a professional Breathalyzer.

After each alcohol reading, you’re prompted with various options such as calling a preset designated driver, calling a taxi, finding nearby friends and places (using Facebook integration), and even a random drunk dial option if you’re feeling adventurous. It does not output a blood alcohol content (BAC) reading and instead plays different audio responses relative to alcohol levels with four character voices to choose from.

If you don't have the device, you can still install the app to see how it works by going into settings and turning on simulation mode. Of course it will not detect any actual alcohol without the Droidalyzer hardware.
