This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing App My Stash: Yarn on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. App stores all my yarn so that they are easily located when a search is done. The color wheel gives a quick synopsis of all the colors you have in stock and allows you to take photos of the yarn. Customer service is absolutely amazing if you have any problems and they work hard to find solutions. Highly recommend this app for anyone who loves to organize their yarn!!

Was excited to see this in the store. Disappointed already. Second skein I was entering was pink. No option for pink. Light red is not pink. Would like an option to add colors. How can you search your stash if the colors aren't entered right? Thank you for your reply. I'll try that and update my review. Updating review. After a prompt reply from the creator, (and 99 skeins later!) I have finished the inventory. The search function seems to work well, and should answer the color issue I had. TY

App My Stash: Yarn is part of a family of personal inventory apps designed by crafters and hobby enthusiasts for crafters and hobby enthusiasts. It allows you to track, manage, plan, and enjoy your yarn stash. No more buying duplicate items because you forgot what you had or where you left it, or the uncertainty when finding bundles of unidentified or unlabeled stash and wondering what it is.

Use the app to browse through, locate, and track your supplies for projects. Note the essential information like colour, fibre type, and where it you store it. You can also track other information such as product info (name, manufacturer, dye lot, etc.), where you bought it, the cost, quantity, length, gauge and twist type, and rate how much you like the stash. It is even designed for people who spin their own.

Stash card information can be tracked in metric or imperial. Store unlimited stash cards and backup & restore you data file so you don't lose your information.

Colour categories are set based on a colour wheel divided down to tertiary level colours. Enter your stash info by main colour category. To track a colour based on hue, tint, tone, or shade, first categorize the colour by its primary, secondary, or tertiary level category, then insert the specific colour name (i.e. "pink") in the NOTES section. You can use the keyword search function on the SEARCH page when you want to find them.
