St Alphonsa Public School & Junior College, Kudamaloor is founded in the name of St Alphonsa, the first officially canonized Indian Saint. A native of Kudamaloor by birth, St Alphonsa spent the early years of her life in the premises where the school is situated now. Herself a teacher by profession and a nun by calling, St Alphonsa passionately guided the children and loved them beyond their social status.
