Updated: after successfully scanning the front cover, the 3d stickers are now working too. Thanks - My daughter is disappointed that we can't make this work on her tablet (Asus me173x) we're trying the poster at home, but the camera doesn't focus and nothing happens in the app.

The augmented reality bit was fun in the library but the rest is a bit thin; production values are lower than I'd have liked? Maybe could have lost the games in exchange. Only two monsters are available in my menagerie, despite having scanned all monsters. Will these gradually become available? Shame we can't rotate the 3d models with touch, only the arrows. So close to being excellent, but I suspect budget was a problem!

She enjoyed the animations, and the beast's stories. She especially liked the Minotaur Maze. The Garuda game is very hard though, which annoyingly for me might become addictive...

Fun games and an effective way of getting the children excited about the Summer Reading Challenge, but the camera isn't working on their tablet and, unfortunately, the screen keeps auto-rotating during the Minotaur Maze game, which (I'm sure you can imagine) is rather frustrating.

I let this one loose on a nearly-four-year-old in a local library where I work and she wasn't to be stopped, rushing about collecting the monsters. Older readers (the SRC target) seemed not so impressed. Do we need an app on devices when the idea is a Summer READING Challenge? Perhaps more integrated promotion and some instructions would help, as might some links to reading books. The app itself is brilliant except for the games, which apart from the Minotaur are unplayable (Medion Lifetab. From Aldi, I'm not proud)

Nice to see the Reading Agency keeping up with trends with an app that has some interesting features ^_^. Missing that layer of polish though. Hopefully that will be improved on next year.
