Outer Worlds is an Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division award-winning single-player first-person SFRPG.

Lost in transit while aboard a ship of settlers heading to the far end of the galaxy, you wake up decades later and are in the midst of a deep conspiracy that could destroy the Halcyon colony. I noticed. As you explore the far end of the universe and encounter different factions, all competing for power, the character you decide will determine how this player-led story unfolds. In the colony's corporate equation, you are an unplanned variable.

Following the obsidian tradition, it's up to you how to approach the Outer Worlds. Your choice affects not only how the story unfolds. But build your character, companion story, and end-of-game scenario.


In a good way, you may be flawed
A new feature in Outerworld is the concept of flaws. Persuasive heroes are created by the flaws they have. While playing The Outer Worlds, the game tracks your experience and finds what you're not particularly good at. Will you continue to be attacked by Raptidon? Removing the flaws in Raptiphobia will give you a debuff when confronting malicious creatures, but will soon give you additional character perks. This optional approach to the game will help you build the character you need while exploring Halcyon.


Guide your companion
While traveling the farthest colonies, you will meet many characters who want to join your crew. All of these companions with unique abilities have their own missions, motives and ideals. It's up to you to help them reach their goals or to direct them to your own goals.


Explore corporate colonies
Halcyon is a colony on the edge of a galaxy owned and operated by the corporate board of directors. They control everything ... except for the alien monsters left behind when the terraforming of the two planets in the colony did not proceed exactly as planned. Find ships, build crew, and explore settlements, space stations, and other interesting places throughout Halcyon.
