It's a multiversion Bible and really nice, but it can't be used except your Internet connection is on. Guess it's not offline afterall

This app takes days or weeks before getting up to date devotions and inspirations. Some times the verse if the day comes a few days after its original day.

I love this Message bible & I love this app. If you are looking for a very simple & modern way to learn & understand the bible & the todays English translation of the Hebrew or greek language...i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP. It'st similar to 2nd original hardback copy message edition. My church use it in my early years of ministry. Lastly, the app opens up with no problem & although I experience Ad. pop-up's it NOT to the point of interrupting me from reading/studying the word of God.

Set up wanted to sign up using Facebook, I did not, next thing I know my FB password has changed. Grrr! I go back to set up a study schedule and I see a list of my FB friends who are using this app. I did want this app connected to my FB. Shocked that a Bible Study app is more interested in my personal info then the Bible. :-(.

I like the idea of this app, but I wish it was more obvious where to create an account. It has links for creating a Facebook account everywhere in the app.

About this app

The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language was created by Eugene H. Peterson and published in segments from 1993 to 2002. It is an idiomatic translation of the original languages of the Bible.According to the Introduction to the New Testament of The Message, its “contemporary idiom keeps the language of the Message (Bible) current and fresh and understandable”. Peterson notes that in the course of the project, he realized this was exactly what he had been doing in his thirty-five years as a pastor, “always looking for an English way to make the biblical text relevant to the conditions of the people.” The Message was published piecemeal over a nine-year period. The New Testament was published in 1993. The Hebrew Bible Wisdom Books were published in 1998. The Hebrew Bible Prophets were published in 2000. The Hebrew Bible Pentateuch were released in 2001. The Books of History came out in 2002. The entire Bible was released the same year and follows the traditional Protestant Biblical canon.
