This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Trueshot GPS Tracker on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Trueshot Tracker allows golfers to track their shots location and measure distances on course from the current position to the last shot and to the greens' center. The application uses the mobile built-in GPS receiver with some advanced positioning features for providing GPS status and accuracy information and thus allowing golfers to evaluate how reliable are the measurements made.
The application includes the following main features:
- register shots to track positions and measure their distances (typically for post analysis);
- get live distances from actual position to the centre of the greens (decide the best club to use) and to the last shot (can be used as a supporting aid for searching lost balls);
- analyse their games history and visualize the shots’ path and distances for each game
- export shot locations to an external file to enable the golfer to read and analyze their shots using an external tool such as Google Earth. The file will be available in KML or GPX (GPS Exchange Format) format at trueshot-tracker directory from the mobile storage card.
The current version works with "free" maps (google based maps) allowing golfers to track their game without a course. Nonetheless, the application's best experience is with courses and thus it currently offers several course mappings in Spain, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Portugal and United States. If your course is not available yet request a new mapping to info@bluecover.pt.
