Need to have an option for setting desired time interval for taking pic in background.. Update : It has only fixed time interval begining from 5, 10, 20, 30 secs and 1 min. I was talking about an option where user can set a time interval of his choise like 10 min or 15 min. Those who record video won't need to save pic every 5 sec. Hope you understand what i mean..

With help of Automate (another application similar to Tasker) I created a condition to start the background recording after plugging my phone into the holder so that it won't start taking video provided only with power. The recording starts itself, there's no need even to light the screen up and search for any shortcuts. However.. For the condition to work free version of Automate isn't enough (as number of elements in the condition exceeds free limit). So I had to spend few $ on it myself. But now it works as required. I've built this condition myself. Here goo.gl/DNwQj4 is a link to Automate right to the condition. All the rest is handled by Road Recorder without significant issues.

Rock solid dash cam functionality. Never crashed, fairly low battery use. Background recording allows you to run a SatNav function whilst driving. If you do not have a separate Dash Cam I would thoroughly recommend this product and have gladly paid for the pro version.

Hi will this app get auto recording based on movement? Im using it in my android head unit with usb camera. Or at least a widget for homescreen so it doesnt need the app to be opened. Roadly (roadar) uses the android activity sdk from pathsense to acomplish this but their app is very buggy.

Bought the pro version. Stops recording whenever it feels like it. And no longer than 8 minutes.
