Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WUF on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

The WUF Application assists participants in navigating UN-Habitat's Seventh session of the World Urban Forum, the World's Premier Conference on Cities. It offers information about events, the venue and host city, and direct access to all relevant social media channels.


With this app, you can:

- KEEP TRACK OF EVENTS: Find events, hours, and locations for everything on the official WUF7 Programme of Events.

- NAVIGATE THE VENUE: There are two maps available: The Venue, to get around Plaza Mayor, and the Exhibition Map, with booth numbers. The Exhibition is open to the public and showcases innovations in urban development from over 100 exhibitors throughout the world.

- GET AROUND MEDELLIN: Find practical information for your stay in Medellín, including hours of operation and routes for Shuttle services to and from hotels, the venue, and the airport.

- CONNECT TO DISCUSSIONS ONLINE: Connect directly to the World Urban Forum's social media channels to stay up to date with news and keep up with what is happening in the discussions.

- NETWORK: Access the #ourWUF Social Network from the app, to use in your mobile browser, and network with other WUF7 participants while attending dialogues.
