About this app

Jihusishe App has the following key features
1. The sign up screen - where new users create accounts by filling in their personal details, user name and their preferred password. The screen also provides for subsequent users to proceed to Login screen if they already have accounts.
2. Login Screen - Once signed up, the users proceed to Login screen where they fill in their user name and password in order to log in to their accounts.
3. Landing screen - After a successful login, the user is taken to this page which displays the app icon, and our introductory information i.e. Your Safety is our concern/ Usalama wako jukumu letu.
4. The Dashboard - it consists of Resources and List of Counties
(a) Resources - This provides external links to get to our more detailed explanations on our web page where users can read more about the app and also get the civic education on the need for community approach to matters safety and security not only during electioneering periods but on a daily basis. They will learn about the causes, warning signs, preventive measures in addition to how to take action in case of crimes or insecurity. They also find a platform to offer their professional input as mentors, community security scouts, trainers, among others.
(b) List of Counties - Consists the 47 counties of Kenya from which the user can select depending on where the crime he wants to report is taking place so that he can be led to the screen showing police centers in that county.
5. Police Centers Screen - When a user clicks on the list of counties and selects the county from which he is reporting, he will be taken to a list of police centers within that specific county, then he/she chooses the nearest police center. There is contact information for each station from which one can choose to call or send a text to make a report on the crime. One can also capture and send a video or images from the scene using the record option; and also provide direction to the crime scene.
Our mission is to significantly reduce on the number of crimes that occur daily by enhancing community involvement in fostering peace and security in individual capacity through reporting and educating those around us.
