I want to love this app, as my choices for local news radio is slim, but it keeps cutting off. Every few minutes I have to restart the broadcast because it shuts off. My phone is up to date, my wifi is strong. No issues on my end as far as I can tell. I'm giving up. This was an issue a couple of years ago and I quit listening then because it drove me nuts. I tried it again for the last couple of months and I just can't deal with it anymore. I'm really surprised at the subpar quality. :(

Far far worse than the NPR One app, why did they switch to this??? It regularly stops playing and needs to reopened, like every 2-3 minutes which is EXTREMELY irritating while driving. Really annoying to try and find my subscribed podcasts, I feel like I have to search for them 90% of the time, they should just be at the top of the list... I really want to listen to this content but this app makes it literally impossible.

I used to love the app for listening live and would have all my local stations bookmarked. Now the app supports only one bookmark, which is a pain since I switch between stations based on schedule preferences. Also, when my phone lock screen is on, there is no option to pause or stop the live stream. I either have to "skip" to recorded content and then stop, or unlock my phone just to pause. I recently switched to Android; unsure if the issues are OS specific or an unfortunate update to the app.

New app is impossible to navigate. Update: after several months with this app my frustration has only grown. Adding news programs from Morning Edition or All Things Considered requires navigating several panels and is incredibly clumsy. Playback will automatically return to stories you skip - or navigate off your playlist to "suggested" stories which are seriously irritating. And it will start playing automatically for no reason - like when I'm in the middle of a meeting. Total garbage.

I am weeping at how buggy this app has become. Currently, the app just bugs out and stops playing audio and goes into a loading loop. Reproduced on mobile and WiFi. Also, it automatically starts playing when I connect to Bluetooth devices, which is GREAT when in a conference call. Autoplay is disabled, the app isn't even running when this occurs. And third, sometimes the pause/resume button just doesn't work at all. What gives! I am uninstalling this app because it is unusable.

I love NPR but the app sucks, especially if I run it and Google Maps at the same time. It's like they merged, making it difficult to do what I want with either one. I just want a simple NPR streaming app that makes it easy for me to select my favorite programs. I want the NPR app to run separately from other apps. It is also very annoying how the app starts playing whenever my car is nearby and running, like when my wife returns to the house. I want the NPR app to only run when I tell it.
