This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DinoSaw on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

During the Festive Period (30th Nov 2019 - Jan 5th 2020) use the app to enhance your visit whilst at the Winchester Science Centre! DinoSaw is an application that shows the potential of AR technology as a valuable educational tool.

Follow the clues around the centre on a dinosaur treasure hunt which uses Augmented Reality (AR), DinoSaw and a phone camera to bring extinct creatures back to life! Made possible with computer generated assets and overlay information.

The DinoSaw App will require access to your camera to function correctly.
DinoSaw has a link to an external URL (www.winchestersciencecentre.org) at the user's discretion.
DinoSaw also requires specific image codes based at Winchester Science Centre for the app to work.
Please note, the will app NOT function correctly without the image codes and the app is designed to be used in conjunction with your visit at the science centre.
