Strong on content, but the live streaming is frustratingly unreliable. Somedays, it doesn't miss a beat. Mostly though, it will pause mid-sentence, sometimes for a few seconds only, but otherwise for minutes or hours. Sometimes waking up the screen will jolt it in to action, but not always. The podcasts work fine. I've checked with many of my friends who'll also use this app, (Android), and they report the same issues. As a portal to the great content on RNZ, this app is a fail. Please fix it.

I have been using the RNZ app for nearly a year now. Until yesterday, it was excellent. The app worked perfectly and the content (especially Saturday and Sunday morning) is generally very interesting. Yesterday, the app stopped working. It is not the wifi. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still does not work. I miss it already.

Excellent content, but after playing from my queue through Andriod Auto you have to restart you phone to get the app to play again. Stopping and restarting the app does not work. You have to restart the phone. Please Fix! I have an Samsung S21 Ultra. The has full wifi and cellular, but once it freezes you can not play download content to your device. Other apps still work, eg YouTube, but RNZ app remains locked.

This app is OK, but recently I get a notification I can't get rid of after restarting the phone that says the app is running in the background. All I can do is go into the Android app settings and force stop it to clear the notification. Annoying.

The app has bugs and keeps stopping - stalling. makes it really frustrating to try and listen to something. Think I've had enough and I will try listening to something else in the mornings.
