Well guys this app, rather than the "highly reviewed" insignia remote, worked just fine when using generic TV option even though I have an NS model. Very happy to put my old GS5 to use! Check if you have an ir blaster before blasting the devs.

Tried all three on our Insignia, none worked and the ads in between each use were a bit frustrating when trying to troubleshoot the TV that inexplicably has no controls on the tv itself.

these guys have the WORST tvs and remotes bc the remotes lag where the power works on the remote BUT nothing else...so frustrating never buying insignia again
