About this app

RJ45 color code or wiring diagram is Free application for android explain step by styp how to wire an ethernet rj45 color coding and wiring diagram for any cable UTP cat5 CAT6 cat7

RJ 45 connector (also known as RJ 45 Jack ,RJ 45 Plug) is the most common connector seen in the world of networking. RJ 45 is used to connect computer with network switches, switches with switches as uplink and switches with routers. There are infinite scenarios where this connector is used and without this connector there is no concept of wired networking. Though wireless networking is getting popular day by day, Ethernet cable based wired networking will remain in use for days to come as its reliability and easy troubleshooting has no match to wireless networking.

A typical RJ 45 connector.
As long as wired networking will remain in use there will be a constant need for RJ 45 Plug. In order to understand the working of RJ 45 Jack, it's important to understand color code scheme of this connector.
RJ 45 connector are mostly placed at ends of Ethernet cable that may be CAT5 or CAT6. Cable formed may be cross cable or straight through cable, both of them can be made by slight variation in network cable color code of RJ 45.
Color coding is a pattern that tells you how to place 8 UTP wires in RJ45 connector to get a working cable. There are two popular color coding standards TIA/EIA 568A and 568B. It's very important to get familiar with these two color code standards if you are working in networking field, as these color coding standards are used to make Straight Through and Crossover Cables.
TIA/EIA 568A & 568B Color Coding Standards
Following diagram illustrates T568A and T568B color code standard. On left is 568A and on right is 568B color code standard.

Cross Over Cable Color Coding
Cross over cable can be made by using either 568A or 568B on one end of RJ45 connector while using opposite color coding at the other end. This means that you have to one of the option
If on one end we are using 568A, other end must uses 568B.
If on one end we are using 568B, other end must uses 568A.

Straight Through Cable Color Coding
Following is a diagram that shows a Straight Through Cable that is using 568A color coding. It's difference from crossover cable is that, both end are following same type of color coding standard. Here both end of UTP cable has 568A color code standard.
