I've never hated an app this much. I think the people that made this want you to hate your car stereo. It's totally unusable, if you even get it to work. You're better off just using phone Bluetooth and sending it from your phone to the stereo. Getting it to work at all is torture, and what everyone says is true regarding the sounds. It doesn't work. They should jump off a building and land on a sharp knife for this. The stereo is nice though.

App does not function at all correctly. It crashes constantly. App states that it can connect to my head unit via bluetooth, yet it does not. the only way to get the app to show up on the unit is via usb. But, to be honest, it could also be the unit, or both. The unit is a brand new purchased AVH 500EX. My phone is a Galaxy S10. I have issues with both the app and the unit. Really, Pioneer used to be an excellent mid to high end audio company, I guess those days of quality are long gone.

When I'm at the AppRadioLIVE site to register and be able to use everything my headunit has to offer, it thinks my email address is incorrect. Trust me when I say I've had it 10+ years so I'll say it's pretty real. Even when I made another address, nope..cant recognize that as being real either...come on PIONEER...get your act together.

Garbage. Doesn't work with my s9+ at all with 5 different cables. Look at and reviews most Samsung phones do not work right. If you have the chance take the head unit back!!! If you are lucky you will just end up with a 1/3rd functional Bluetooth stereo. That's what I paid $450 to remove! I'd just hook a Chromecast up to the aux in, but I'm done wasting my life with this thing!

Awesome once you know how to use it. It has some great features, i.e., it can read your msgs back to you (text and messenger) and enables lots of voice commands on your Pioneer unit. So for me, it has opened a new world of functionality. I believe it will take some practice using it; there's some awkwardness going on, still, but i think it's me. I just downloaded the app yesterday. very good so far.

Music only plays through phone speakers since phone updated to Android 9. About two months ago, i received a message that Waze would no longer be supported. Then my phone updated its OS from Android 8 to Android 9. Now music on my phone will only play back through the phone speaker. This renders the app effectively useless for me. Ruins an otherwise nice head unit. Hope this gets remedied quickly. (phone-moto g6, head unit-AVH-X4800BS)
