This app seems really great, I don't know what people are complaining about. I may not yet know all the words, but it's easy enough to understand what's happening in the stories basically, and no one should expect there to be English translations for every word they don't know or something. It's very nicely organized and I like how they are read out loud. It has nice stories that are fun to read. I highly suggest it. You don't have to be a pro in Japanese to enjoy it. People should not expect to be hand-fed translations of every other word for their personal learning ability. If you need to, you can look up words in a dictionary like one would normally expect to do when learning a language.

Awesome application I use for my 6 yr old son and his Japanese listening practice. He's half jpns. We both love the reading by the native speakers. The pronunciation and intonation is very professional. Great stuff. For all those moaners out there, pls note not all application need to be designed for beginners only! There are plenty application you can use for your own learning. This one is for either Jpn kids for fun or for those who have mastered basic stuff and are intermediate level. We need such applications too. It's not just beginners out there! The books are divided by age and daily suggestions . In fact it's well organised. But those who can't read even simple Japanese, they will moan and Mark this application as bad. Too bad. This is an awesome application for a small fee of 400 yen subscription per month. We listen to several books per week and it's fun.

Nice concept but poorly thought out, not to mention it's a timed trial (NOT free like advertised), though nowhere will it tell you this. Also, there aren't any translations or a vocab list for the Japanese words translated to english, so you end up not learning anything, and you'll only be able to know what it says if you already know what the words mean. Makes a learning experience pointless when there's nothing to help you learn. How am I supposed to know what a word means without English notes? This is an app geared towards people who already know how to read in japanese, not for first time learners. Skip if you are a beginner.

Awesome! You can read along in children's picture books as the app reads them aloud to you. Great app for Japanese learners. Highly recommend.
