The app does not work on every phone with an Android O.S. I cannot edit anything. The keyboard is dust collector now until a proper PC/Mac version is developed, which I am not expecting will be made.

This is like the Diablo Immortal of editor apps. Everyone wanted the real deal, but this is what we got instead, since every musician has a phone.

The AX Edge is a great musical instrument, but this editor App is ashamed. It is a pity that it is only possible to edit a tone via this. I have written to Italian customer service a few times and am already being ignored. I've been a Roland customer for 20 years and as already written, the instrument is great. But this app only makes it of limited use and should not be sold like this. If it were just a nice to have solution, it wouldn't be so bad. I hope this review is read and noticed and finally something happens!

Reminder: this review is about the Android app only. The AX-Edge itself is a powerful synth and controller. The Ax Edge editor is an interesting mix of completeness and inconvenience. Every parameter of every program can be found if you dig deep enough. Unfortunately, to make so many parameters available on tablet or phone screens, it requires a seemingly endless pile of separate pages. If you want to backtrack -- say, reassign a controller -- you have to visit a page for the modulation matrix, a page for the family of parameters (per part -- or is it partial? Tough to remember sometimes.), and hope you've kept track of them all. There are other problems: (1) Initial loading is done with every startup of the app, and it's a fairly slow process. (2) moving from one mode to another is slow, often requiring yet-another reload (see (1)). End result: an app that is both comprehensive in cope, but frustrating (if not unusable) for the bulk of its users. A thoughtful port of this app to a PC would be very helpful -- and it might even be necessary if Roland wants the AX Edge to thought of as more than a preset synthesizer.

Terrible app, the interface doesn't work as intended. Crashes frequently. Makes using the actual AX edge very difficult.
