Notifications open the app, but do not lead to mentioned article. Once the app is open I'm unable to find the article mentioned in the notification received. Aside from that, I quite like this app. It brings me news from a wide variety of local sources, as well as broader news about my state. Very efficient as most of the articles aren't posted anywhere else or are difficult to find. Would definitely give 5 stars if the notification issue was fixed.

It is a terrific concept with good layout, and choices of distance from where one lives, but whenever I try to use it there are only listed headlines & no write ups when I click onto any, so I don't know what's even going on concerning that particular news.The app is ideal in that whoever installs it can read all the current local news of their own home area even if it's a small rural town unknown to most people.Most news apps are of major cities. I'll delete app if it doesn't improve.

Instead of looking for news about Exeter and Devon in the feeds of my local newspapers and TV / radio stations, I've found the 'Local News' app. Every story has some relevance to me. They bring together stories from all my local outlets. If there's a problem on the roads, for example, I'll find the answers fastest in 'Local News'. Much faster than searching Google or Twitter. It doesn't pretend to be what it isn't. And what it does, it does brilliantly.

It seems to have been improved, I recently installed it, and it actually had news articles to read. Overall, it's the best app for localized news, and you can choose the various mile ranges you want to read news about, from your area. It uses alot of MB, but most news apps do.

In my opinion,it is almost impossible to read anything without being asked to subscribe, at that point,what you were trying to read is blocked out. And adverts, adverts,and adverts. I see very little point of a 'news app' where you can't read the news.

Excellent app for accessing local news. Obviously you do get the odd advert but they are easily skipped. The layout is clear and simple. All in all I like it.
