Nasce a Palermo sul finire del 1998 come piccolo negozio di videogames a dire il vero con non troppe aspettative. La concorrenza è da subito asprissima, trovandosi Console & Mania a dover competere con negozi (e catene di negozi) famosi a livello nazionale. Ma, lentamente, ecco avvenire il miracolo: C&M non rimane ancorato al mercato videoludico, ma decide di espandersi anche in altri sensi: ecco quindi la comparsa dei primi gadgets, delle prime action figures e di tutta un’altra serie di perle introvabili sul mercato palermitano. La fama e la popolarità del negozio sono cresciute a dismisura e folle di appassionati vengono dirottate verso questo nuovo lido. Inutile dire che ogni appassionato di videogames può dire di aver trovato il suo Paradiso. E col tempo le cose non fanno altro che migliorare: si crea una schiera di assidui frequentatori del negozio e Console & Mania diventa ben presto un punto di ritrovo e di discussione per appassionati di videogames. Attualmente C&M è il più importante centro del videogaming palermitano, sia per la grandissima quantità di materiale presente che per la professionalità con cui il tutto viene gestito.
