The stories are ok but the spelling is horrendous and needs to be fixed. Some words can be figured out and a lot can't! I've come to the conclusion that nobody proof read any of these stories before dumping them out onto the play store because if they had they wouldn't be available yet. For example every time you have a word with an L in it there is a capital u where the L should be and that's just 1 of many mistakes in all of the stories. Pull the stories off Google play store and fix them.

The illustrated story version, not the classic text adventure, so play is easy (maybe 1/2 hour for each of the four games) and redos are unlimited. Lots of fun. Minor problems: Lots of typos and apparent OCR scanning errors, the "back" and "start over" buttons are in Spanish, the "back" buttons are properly linked only in the first game, and inline and pop-up ads are everywhere. Warning: turn off media sound if you're in a quiet place - some pop-up ads are loud video

Thank you so much! As a young teenager, I fell in love with Zork. One day my friend and I were at a Fedco store and we found these books. I bought The Forces of Krill, and he bought the Caverns of Doom. We read and traded them. By the time we were ready for the other two, they were gone. But now, here they all are! The ones I remember, and the ones I missed out on. These books were written by Steve Meretzky who wrote some of the actual Zork games and Planetfall. He was a Zork insider, not just some author they hired to write Zork games. Heck, he even cowrote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game for Infocom with Douglas Adams. Definitely the best CYOA books in existence.

About this app

Choose Your Own Adventure, 4 Zork books, interactive story-books

-The Forces of Krill

The first book in the Zork series, The Forces of Krill utilized familiar Zork locations and scoring systems. Bivotar and Juranda are on a quest to find the three Palantirs of Zork and to defeat the evil sorcerer Krill. There were 20 possible endings.

-The Malifestro Quest

The second book in the Zork series, "The Malifestro Quest" contained several inside jokes for those familiar with the Zork games. Bivotar and Juranda must rescue the hero Syovar from the evil wizard Malifestro along with Fred and Max, two quirky elves. There were 18 possible endings.

-The Cavern of Doom

The third book in the Zork series, "The Cavern of Doom" tried to capture the "exploring the dungeon" motif of the earlier games. Bivotar and Juranda search the Cavern of Doom, an uncharted portion of the Great Underground Empire and the site of several mysterious disappearances, including the elves Fred and Max. There were 17 possible endings.

- Conquest at Quendor
The fourth book in the Zork series, the "Conquest of Quendor", featured silly riddles reminiscent of Zork II. Bivotar and Juranda search for the Helm of Zork in an attempt to bring peace to the Land of Frobozz, in defiance of Jeearr, a riddle-telling demon. There are 17 possible endings.
