Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Car Companion on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Car Companion is a fully-featured driving companion. Using the simple interface, you can enhance your driving experience using some of the following features:

• Retrieve detailed information about traffic which you will encounter en route to your destination
• Find weather forecasts for your current location, and for your destination.
• Track the speed of your vehicle, and be notified when you exceed the speed limit.
• Time your journeys, and be notified when you have been driving for too long, helping to mitigate driver fatigue.
• Keep track of information relating to past journeys, such as their duration.
• Stop, sip, sleep – Use our research-based coffee and nap feature to time your naps and find coffee locally, helping you to counteract fatigue while driving.
• Receive information about what to do when you, or another driver on the road, is involved in a crash, and quickly and easily contact emergency services.
• Reduce your road rage using our breathing techniques and graphical assistant.
