Thohaa's letter as an opening for guidance for Umar Bin Khottob entered Islam, when Umar heard that his younger brother had followed Rasulullah Saw Umar, he was very angry with his younger brother and slapped him.
However, Umar could not fight his love for his younger brother. His anger went out like fire in the rain. He sat there, silent in regret. He looked at his younger brother's face deeply, regretting the wound from the slap earlier.
"Show me the pages you read so I know what Muhammad brought," asked Umar.
"We are afraid you will take the sheets."
"There's no need to be afraid, show it. I swear I'll give it back."
At that time, a hope arose in Fatimah's heart that her brother would embrace Islam.
"Your brother is an idol worshiper, therefore you are dirty. In fact, this sheet should not be touched except for a holy person."
Without saying anything else, Umar stood up and took a shower. After that he came back and read the pages containing Thohaa's letter.
طه
Thaahaa.
مَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لِتَشْقَىٰ
We did not bring down this Quran to you to make it difficult for you;
إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِمَنْ يَخْشَىٰ
but as a warning to those who fear (Allah),
تَنْزِيلًا مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ الْعُلَى
namely sent down from Allah who created the earth and the high heavens.
الرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ
(Namely) God the Most Gracious. Who resides above ´Arsy.
لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرَىٰ
He belongs to everything that is in the heavens, everything on the earth, everything in between, and everything that is underground.
وَإِنْ تَجْهَرْ بِالْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى
And if you harden your words, then indeed He knows secrets and what is more hidden.
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ
He is Allah, there is no God (who deserves to be worshiped) but He. He has al Asmaul Husna (good names).
The story of the Prophet Muhammad about the events of Shifting the Qibla to the Ka'bah
The following is a snippet of the story about the transfer of the Qibla to the Kaaba
The Jews also came to the Messenger of Allah and said, "Muhammad, of course you know that all the prophets and messengers before you went to Baitul Maqdis. That is where they actually live. If you are truly an apostle, you will definitely go there, right? Just think of Medina as an intermediary for you and your people to migrate from Mecca to Baitul Maqdis! "
However, at that very moment Rasulullah knew that they were trying to trick him. Moreover, at that time the prayer direction for the Muslims was the Baitul Maqdis, not the Kaaba in Mecca.
However, once again, the opinion of the Jews was resolved by the word of Allah which ordered the Messenger of Allah and the Muslims to face the Ka'bah while praying. At that time, it was seventeen months that the Messenger of Allah moved to Medina. Allah says,
قد نرى تقلب وجهك في السماء فلنولينك قبلة ترضاها فول وجهك شطر المسجد الحرام وحيث ما كنتم فولوا وجوهكم شطره وإن الذين أوتوا الكتاب ليعلمون أنه الحق من ربهم وما الله بغافل عما يعملون
Indeed, We (often) see your face looking up to the sky, then indeed We will turn you to the Qibla that you like. Turn your face towards the Grand Mosque. Every where you are, turn your face on him. And in fact the people (Jews and Christians) who were given the Al Kitab (Torah and Gospel) did know that turning to the Grand Mosque was true from their Lord; and Allah never neglect what they do.
