This has caused various disasters and damage in the joints of our lives, from the household level to the level of community and state life, both in the fields of politics, economy, defense, law, and education, starting at the level of the common people to the at the level of the ruler. various events and problems have befallen and hit us as a result of the distance of honesty values in life. There are so many verses and hadiths that explain the importance of honesty for each individual for the sake of building a cultured and dignified life. including the word of Allah in Surah At-Taubah verse 119 which means: O people who believe, fear Allah and be with those who are honest. in this verse Allah SWT. calling people who are honest in all things. because honesty is part of piety and proof of the good faith of a person. conversely, if an honest character is not present in a person, it is an indication that that person's faith is not good.
The verse also contains a message of advice to us to make honest people our friends in our lives. and stay away from people who like to lie because they can become infected with their lying nature or become victims of their lies. therefore, join the group of honest people in the world so that we too will be gathered with them in a heaven full of happiness and enjoyment.
In this matter about honesty the Prophet Muhammad SAW said which means: It is obliged for you to be honest, because honesty will lead to good. and that kindness will lead to heaven. always someone is honest and really tries to always be honest, so that he is recorded with Allah as the most honest person. and keep away from you the nature of lying, for lying will lead to evil. and that heinous deed will lead to hell. always someone who likes to lie, and tries to always lie, so that he is recorded in the sight of Allah SWT as the most lying person (Muttafaq 'alaih).
In this hadith, Rasulullah Saw clearly and firmly ordered his people to be honest in all matters. honesty will make the culprit achieve various goodness in his life. not the other way around, as we often say from people who are far from religious knowledge: "if honesty will be destroyed". This expression is in stark contrast to the above hadith content. in fact, Allah SWT never gives destruction to honest people. but that destruction is for those who are far from honest. even that honesty is one way that can lead the doer to heaven that is so luxurious and beautiful.
Regarding honesty in this case Allah also said in Surah Al-Maidah verse 119 which means: On this day honesty will benefit those who are honest, for them is a paradise that flows in rivers, they are eternal in it for -Laas, Allah SWT Ridho to them, they are also pleased with Allah SWT, that is a very big fortune.
