About this app

Kitab Ta’lîm al-Muta’allim Tharîq at-Ta’allum merupakan salah satu kitab yang menghimpun tuntunan belajar. Nama lengkap penyusunnya adalah Burhânuddîn Ibrâhim al-Zarnûji al-Hanafi. Kata al-Zarnûj dinisbatkan kepada salah satu kota terkenal dekat sungai Oxus, Turki. Dari penisbatannya kepada al-Hanafi di ujung namanya dapat diketahui bahwa beliau bermazhab Hanafi. Mengenai tahun kelahirannya para ulama tarikh masih berbeda pendapat, begitupun dengan tahun wafatnya. Sebagian menyebutkan Imam al-Zarnûji wafat pada 591 H, namun ada juga yang menyebutkan wafat pada 640 H (Imam al-Zarnûji, Ta’lîm al-Muta’allim Tharîq at-Ta’allum, Beirut: al-Maktab al-Islami, cetakan pertama, 1981, halaman 18).

Imam al-Zarnûji berguru kepada beberapa ulama besar pada masanya, di antaranya adalah Ruknul Islam Muhammad bin Abi Bakr (573 H), Hammad bin Ibrahim, Fakhruddin al-Kâsyâni, Fakhruddin Qâdhi Khan al-Awz Jundi, dan Ruknuddin al-Farghâni. Para ulama tersebut adalah ahli fiqih sekaligus sastra. Mungkin faktor inilah yang menyebabkan banyaknya nasihat yang dikutip oleh Imam al-Zarnûji berasal dari ulama Hanafiyah, dan banyaknya syair di dalam kitab ini.
