About this app

Fathul Qarib merupakan termasuk salah satu kitab fikih yang paling populer di kalangan santri pesantren seluruh pelosok Indonesia. Belum diketahui secara pasti mulai kapan kitab ini dikaji di Indonesia, yang jelas para santri yang belajar fikih tidak diraguka lagi apabila mereka mengaji kitab ini.

Syarakh Taqrib digunakan oleh banyak pondok pesantren krena isi bab-babnya ringkas dan padat pembahasannya. Di samping itu juga diksi dan susunan kalimat kitab ini mudah dipahami bagi yang baru belajar membaca kitab kuning.

Pengarang Kitab Fathul Qorib adalah Syekh Muhammad bin Qosim al-Ghazi (918 H/1512 M). Ia merupakan penulis syarakh (penjelas) dari kitab matan Taqrib yang dikarang oleh Imam Syekh Ahmad bin Husein atau dikenal dengan sebutan Abu Syuja’. Kitab ini disusun berdasarkan tradisi mazhab Syafi’iyyah.

Syekh Abu Syuja’ menulis Matan Taqrib sebab atas permintaan para murid dan teman–temannya. Tujuan penyususn kitab ini supaya orang yang belajar ilmu fikih dapat mengetahui hukum agama secara singkat dan mudah. Banyak ulama setelah era Imam Abu Syuja’ yang menyusun kitab syarakh atas Taqrib miliknya, termasuk salah satunya yaitu Syekh Muhammad al-Ghazi.
