If you want to get the "rewind" function you have to buy the "pro" version, so it's useless, and falsely advertised.

great app but what's up with charging for vaporware? in-app purchase gives one "longer buffers and other features to come" ~2017 :-\

Moto G4+ The playback for listening to recordings has a bug that causes it to continue playing in the background independant of what you do in the app. It's as if a second instance of the app opens in the background, so you can end up hearing two separate instances of the same recording and only control (play, pause, move forward/backward) one of them. Closing the app completely is the only way I've found to end it. Rotating the phone tiriggers it. Other than this, the app's been great.

works as advertised. others clearly cant read. biggest issue is it is saving lots of recordings even though im not telling it to. other apps that require the microphone wont work while its running and it is not easy to just exit out as it runs in the background. should be an option to deprioritize the app when another is trying to run. they have it for phone calls. but should be more broadly applied

This app records very well, but you have to pay for the whole purpose of the app! I know it's only 0.99, but why can't you just download another app that let's you do it for free?

About this app

Rewind allows you to passively record your surroundings. This app continuously runs in the background and records everything your phone hears, allowing you to save recent recording when you hear something you would like to keep. 🎙

You can record from within the app, by toggling the app notification (you can disable this in the settings), or by using the app widget on your launcher.

This app is useful for:

Until you press save, the recording is held on the RAM (because a recording of the last X minutes needs to be continuously trimmed and that would be fairly inefficient on the device storage).

Permission Requests:

This app requires the Phone permission (READ_PHONE_STATE) so Rewind can stop/resume recordings during calls, so your call recording apps can work properly. You can disable this functionality in the settings.
