Using BlueStacks

After a lot of research at East Horsley Bridge Club, we decided to take the full plunge, and purchase 20 Andoid tablets (7" Lenovo @ £50 ea - long battery life) and use BriAn to run our duplicate evenings. We also looked at Bridgemates, and attended several demos by other similar App providers. We were aware that with an annual limit of £180 fee for a club of our size, that with a tablet-based system, we could always try elsewhere if BriAn did not work out. Now, nearly nearly a year later, we have had no regrets, and will happily continue with the BriAn system. We have had great support direct from Victor Lesk, who leads the development team, and he has given very prompt and helpful assistance in two main areas: 1) by introducing new movements centred on two-section duplicate Mitchell movements for 2 x 8/9 tables (named after us as EH..... mitchell), and 2) assisting with our very poor local WiFi through his "Trump-O-Tron" raspberry based LAN gadget, which supports a steady input by our 18-odd tables for instant published results on-line. We continue to work with Victor to iron out any minor bugs, and to continue in offering simplified movement options/ language. Try it with your mobiles!
