Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Ellibs on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Very hard to find what I looking for. Sure, there is a lot of categories and sorting tool, but those are not working well together. I want only audiobooks, but there is still all the same categories and all kind of books inside of those. I like sound quality and app works well except what I already said.

i was just reading a book, I loaned via the app. two hours later, returning to the app, the book wouldn't display. restarted the app and the book no longer showed in my loans nor I was able to find it via search. all my previous coursebooks displayed just fine in history. But I need the book I just loaned! when I delete the app data, I can again find the book I have loaned, but it never moves to my bookshelf.

The app works without bugs etc. but UI is super old-fashioned. Usually navigation doesn't require any learning as every app pretty much work the same way but this app requires extra learning. Apparently user can't browse app while listening, books always need to be downloaded offline to listen, sleep timer and playback buttons are way too hard to see while other buttons are super large to the extent that it looks like the sis app's made for elderly folks.

The reader needs more features. E.g. adjusting margins, line spacing, finetuning colours, better nightmode. Sometimes it doesn't even render all letters (they show fine in other apps). Have to go to the website to download the epub file to use another reader.

I like this app and it's simple to use. The only problem I have is that it keeps crashing when I try to reserve books, or like today when I had to completely reinstall to be able to use it again. After having returned a book and multiple crashes.

Usually works fine. Sometimes the bookmark jumps away and you have to scroll back to the right page.

About this app

With the Ellibs app, you can easily read your library's e-book collection as well as books you have bought from the Ellibs online store. All you need for signing up to the e-book collection is a library card and its PIN code. Some collections can be accessed using your user name and password. Your user name will be provided by your own library.

● The app works seamlessly with the Ellibs Library online service. E-books borrowed on the online service can be viewed in the app and vice-versa.
