The reception is fine. However, it's supposed to show the recent playlist & the song currently playing. Those screens don't show any info. about the artist name or song. I'm wondering if it's that way for certain programs.

Used to donate to the station even after I moved. If I can't get the music I used to love then what's the point? The app doesn't function anymore. (Edit after update) somehow it went from barely functional to not at all. Great update guys

Can't listen to my fav station thru their own apps, because they (KUTX + KUT) drop connection frequently (like, 10 times before I go to work in the morning kind of frequency), tell me there's no internet (wireless or 4g, travelling or on the couch, makes no difference). I've made comments, complained, & emailed for years to no avail. I'm now using iHeart Radio with zero problems. Uninstalling both apps now.

No other station captures the Austin Music Experience like KUTX 98.9 FM. What you'll hear is a hand-curated, alternative music mix with a local twist. Our hosts, aka DJ's, have more than 300 years on the radio combined--most of that in Austin. The music staff collaborates on picking the best songs, albums and artists from the great pool of talent that makes Austin the "Live Music Capital of the World," as well as from musicians beyond our backyard. You'll be sure to discover new favorites and enjoy familiar tunes with us.

This version of our app focuses on two things--a high-quality stream and the playlist. We've thrown a couple other things in there too, but this is what our listeners have asked for. We're providing an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec. It sounds great on all platforms, devices, radios and even over cellular. Tap in some headphones and have a listen.

It doesn't matter if you're in Austin, Texas, Minnesota, Alberta or Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the KUTX app brings the Austin Music Experience to you in a clear, digital stream.
