About this app

The "CAHL Food Record" phone application is designed for participants involved in a study of organic food during pregnancy, and this study is being conducted by Dr. Cynthia Curl and her research team at Boise State University. As part of the study requirements, the participants consent to record all of the produce that they consume throughout their pregnancies. This phone application is designed for the study participants to easily and conveniently perform the following steps: 1) take a picture of the produce being consumed; 2) select the name(s) of the produce item(s) pictured; 3) choose the portion size of the produce that is being consumed; and 4) note whether the produce is provided by the lab. If the produce is not provided by the lab, then participants can indicate whether it is organic or conventional. Each user has their own personal login information, and once an entry is submitted it clears from the user's screen and the data is stored in a secure and private server for Dr. Curl's lab.
