فوائد المرض : أنّه إحسانٌ ورحمةٌ من الرّب للعبد، فما خلقه ربّه إلا ليرحمه، لا ليعذّبه، قال تعالى: "مَا يَفْعَلُ اللّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِن شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنتُمْ وَكَانَ اللّهُ شَاكِراً عَلِيماً"، النّساء/147.


تعتبر زيارة المريض والدّعاء له بالشّفاء من حقّ المسلم على أخيه المسلم، وقد حثّنا رسولنا الكريم على الدّعاء بالخير لإخواننا، وأوصانا بزيارتهم خاصّةً عند المرض، والدّليل على ذلك قوله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم: "حَقُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ خَمْسٌ. وفي رواية: خَمْسٌ تَجِبُ لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى أَخِيهِ: رَدُّ السَّلَامِ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ، وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ، وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ، وَاتِّبَاعُ الْجَنَائِزِ". وقد رفع علماء المسلمين درجة زيارة المريض والدّعاء له إلى درجة الوجوب؛ لأنّ الله عزّ وجل قريبٌ مجيبٌ لدعواتنا، فيجب علينا ألّا نبخل على من نحبّ من الأقارب والأحباب في الدّعاء لهم بالشّفاء، ورفع الشدّة عنهم، ممّا يؤدّي إلى زيادة المحبّة والتّرابط بين النّاس، ونيل رضا الله تعالى ورسوله الكريم. ومن هذه الأدعية التي يُستحبّ الدّعاء للمريض بها
