Herzstück der neuen SR App ist der Newsfeed, in dem deutlich mehr Nachrichten und Hintergründe als bisher ihren Platz finden. Neben den von SR.de kuratierten Textfassungen sind hier Audios und Videos gleich mit vorhanden, so dass kein umständlicher Wechsel in den Browser nötig ist.

Der integrierte Videoplayer lässt sich bei Bedarf auch abkoppeln. So können Nutzer die App weiter nutzen, ohne ihr Video aus den Augen zu verlieren.

Für Nutzer bietet eine Aufteilung neben „News“ und „Sport“ auch die neue Kategorie „SRland“, in der wir das zeigen, was wir als SR richtig gut können: Was ist im Saarland vor Ort los - ganz gleich ob Kultur, Unterhaltung oder Ratgeber.
