This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Launch Buttons - Ableton MIDI Controller on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

This app is working perfectly - I was about to throw away my old tablet (android 4 - super slow), but now I use it as my main launchpad for Ableton. It's a shame Google doesn't make an IQ test mandatory for rating apps. This is a 6 star app!

This app is simply incredible! The amount of stuff you can do with it is overwhelming. I have just been trying to figure out what each button does for the last 4 hours (I have never owned a launchpad). A huge minus for the lack of explanations / labels / tutorial mode, although I'm still tempted to give it 5 stars. I got the paid version, since I originally wanted to use the knobs, couldn't get them to work though.. Found quite a few problems, still cool as heck that the main part is for free.

I greatly recommend this app! Tried it out to check the connection of Launchbuttons free on my android phone via WiFi to ableton Live on my laptop. Works flawlessly, although it took some time to fully understand the steps to setup the connection. But since then, I can play notes and clips in ableton and get some visual feedback on my phone. Trying to setup the other buttons and then I'll definitely upgrade to the pro version because I absolutely love this app !

took a whlile to get it working properly, but now I have it's a lot of fun . Works on old android versions and apart from basic Launchpad emulation, works with all 3rd party mAX4 live step sequencers.

An application is something that does something. This only plays some loops and when I turn off sound it is just a picture. And an ugly 1 too. Just be honest and delete it so u don't waste any more ppls time.

There's no "midi" or "how to connect" as it has been cropped out. i'm really looking forward to a fix!

Launch Buttons is a MIDI controller that lets you perform your tracks wherever you go. You don't need to carry your expensive gear; your phone/tablet is just about enough. Works with virtually any DAW after a very simple set up. Ableton Live + Launchpad 95 script is recommended for this MIDI Controller emulation to work.

This free version gives you access to all 64 buttons on the 8x8 grid, 8 scene launch buttons, 8 buttons to navigate and 7 buttons for transport controls. The Launchpad95 script gives you a step sequencer, scale mode, and many more functions.

It includes the the "old" colors (red-orange-yellow-green) - ff you want to upgrade, Launch Buttons Plus is an emulator for a more sophisticated controller and provides you with
- full color support (more than 100 RGB colors)
- 16 more functions buttons (in addition to the 16 you already have)
- 16 freely assignable knobs

2.017: included tons of sounds for these smart individuals who think they don't have to read the app description and then rate the app 1* for not having sound. The app is now 3000% bigger because of the sounds but I think 13mb is still ok. (it was 400kb before). Just click "MIDI" to turn the sounds off forever.
