Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WDR 5 on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

Very high power consumption...

Leider ist die App meiner Meinung nach noch nicht ausgereift. Es kommt zwischen durch immer wieder vor, dass die Tonausgabe gedoppelt klingt (und das im w-lan...) Und oft reagiert das Interface nicht. Ich verwende lieber weiterhin die alte WDR-App.

Ich habe folgende Kritikpunkte: 1. Sendungen sind nur unterhalb von 'Mein WDR5' zu finden. Das finde ich nicht intuitiv. 2. Eine Suchfunktion fehlt. 3. Es gibt keine Downloadfunktion! Das wichtigste fehlt also.

Die WDR 5 App bietet den Radio-Livestream von WDR 5 mit zusätzlichen Infos zur Sendung. Außerdem können Sie im Stream bis zu eine halbe Stunde zurückspringen. Darüber hinaus bieten wir alle On-Demand-Audios aus dem Radioprogramm zum Nachhören, Merken und Teilen an.

Im „Start“-Bereich finden Sie aktuelle Hörempfehlungen der Redaktion zu verschiedenen Themen, sowie die meistgehörten Audios von WDR 5. Außerdem gibt es alle Podcasts/Sendungen von A bis Z und Links zur Playlist und den Serviceseiten für Rezepte, Buchtipps und Moderatoreninfos.

Sie interessieren sich besonders für bestimmte Themen oder Sendungen? Unter „Mein WDR 5" können Sie Ihre persönliche Sammlung gemerkter Audios erstellen und auch Inhalte einzelner Sendungen durchstöbern und abonnieren.

Unter „Programm“ finden Sie alle Sendezeiten und zusätzliche Infos zu den Sendungen. Außerdem können Sie gezielt einzelne Tage aufrufen.

Über „Kontakt“ haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das Team von WDR 5 direkt anzuschreiben.

Die App und ihre Inhalte sind für Sie kostenlos. Den Abruf von Audios empfehlen wir mit Blick aufs Datenvolumen aus dem WLAN oder über eine Mobilfunk-Datenflatrate. Die Streamqualität können Sie aber auch in den Einstellungen reduzieren.
