About this app

Heat Wave is a useful tool for simulating both the heat and wave equation in 1 dimension on your phone. This app lets you set any initial conditions and the simulation parameters such as accuracy and detail. After that, you tap Simulate and the app shows you how the graph will transform with time. This app is extremely useful to help visualize how heat may spread in a rod, or how a sound wave might propagate through space. Especially useful for explaining the two in a classroom, or for someone trying to understand how the equations work.

Features:
- Simulate the heat equation in 1-D
- Simulate the wave equation in 1-D
- Save expressions so you don't have to keep typing them out
- Simple UI allows for easily simulating new initial conditions within seconds

Features I'm Planning to Add:
- Export simulations as GIFs
- More efficient simulation calculations
- Change coefficients
- Play simulation in reverse
