It's a very handy application to fly your drone, but had a big issue with installation. After you install the app, it says "am sorry, the application is abnormal and will quit soon". This message keeps on showing and the app will never open for you to use it. My personal fix was simple but might be harsh and difficult for you to try. I use Samsung Galaxy XCover 4, I just formatted the phone and did fresh installation of X Drone and voila that pissing message never appeared. I hope this helps you too

The instructions are pretty basic, it's taken some time to figure some of it out. ** re MAPs - you have to TURN OFF WIFI to get them to load. Otherwise my phone was assuming the drone was a data source and failed to load. Open the app with wifi off, open the app, zoom WAY out and pan to your location, then zoom back in to load map detail. Fortunately it does remember map data (at least when I tried it in airplane mode) after so this is a one time thing for each place you fly. Turn wifi back on any fly per usual. -1 for lag issues although I'm not 100% sure if that's the apps fault or something else. Now that maps work I'm happy with it. The drone itself is great. It's the app that the Potensic D80 drone is designed for, I haven't found any other options. It works mostly but does have some lag. 'Follow me' and 'orbit' functions are only controllable from the app, not the controller. Update - I'm using a samsung s7 running 8.0.0 (oreo)

App worked great before this last update at the end of July, now it starts, then says app is abnormal and is going to close. Can't use it now. Downloaded X-Drone Pro, it seems to work but it has less features than the plain X-Drone, the RTH, Orbit, and Follow me are missing. Is there anyway to revert back to the previous version of X-Drone?

Seems to work well enough with the Potensic D80 and my iPhone 5s, version 12.2 for providing a general POV from the drone: but, there is a significant delay between where the drone is pointed and what is shown on the iphone screen. The delay is acceptable for taking pictures but certainly too great to allow one to actively fly the drone looking only at the screen. Is there a way to reduce the delay? It is even significant with the drone & iphone within one foot of each another.

Generally works good for the Potensic D80, My only complaint is the app doesn't cache satellite map data. It would be perfect otherwise. You need to first load the map up when connected to the internet, then connect to the quadcopter WiFi signal. After that, the map works as expected. So another thing. When recording a video, you need to remember to stop the recording, or the video will not be saved.

Functions on the app look great but the only thing which works is the link to the camera and that disconnects several times a flight even at 50m range. App tells me the aircraft is connected but there is no GPS satellite (there are lots of satellites showing on remote control) but it does place my drone in about the right place in the right country. shame country is the best level of detail on the map. Tried some other user suggestions without luck.
