Radio Etna Espresso ha una storia ultra quarantennale, nasce nel 1976 ad Acireale in Sicilia, inizia lì una fase di ricerca e di studio nel mondo della radiofonia che la porterà ad operare e a farsi apprezzare in tutta la Sicilia orientale (area compresa tra Siracusa e Taormina) e parte della Calabria Meridionale.
Abbiamo detto no alle spersonalizzazioni, ai grandi network del nord pronti a rilevare le nostre frequenze.
Abbiamo tenuto alta la bandiera della radiofonia catanese, tutte le radio nate qualche mese prima di noi non esistono più.
L’esigenza di migliorare gli standard qualitativi e la produzione di programmi e servizi giornalistici è stata logica ed inevitabile, rifuggendo però dalla “spersonalizzazione” scelta da altri che nel tempo hanno preferito aderire a syndacation nazionali e quant’altro.

Nella sua tipologia R.E.E. ha sempre lavorato, a piccoli passi, in direzione di una crescente professionalità a tutti i livelli, restando fermo il principio di “voce territoriale”, sicuro punto di riferimento per svariate esigenze di un pubblico sempre attento e presente. L’informazione, la musica e gli ascolti R.E.E. entra a contatto con l’intero nucleo familiare, per questo motivo le scelte operate nel palinsesto non sono frutto del caso.
