... The efforts of the narrator. Wonderful epic and awesome story. But would give 3 starts for the buggy app. Best works when listened to online. One must respect one's opinions and the subtle way in which the narrator describes is very pleasant. Suggest to remove download button as it's not doing what it is expected to do. Episode 34 points to episode 51 which means content for episode 34 is missing and episode 52 is missing in the index. Have to see what other surprises are ahead, in terms of app.

Wonderful app! Mahabharata told very interestingly. The way he narrates takes you back to those days! For people who can't download multiple episodes - go to file manager- open "mahabharata " and rename the audio file with episode no. And your free to download another podcast. Repeat the same for following podcasts .

There is a bug in dowload and offline functionality. When i downloaded only one episode it shows all the episodes has been downloaded and when i play any episodes it plays only the first downloaded episode. And after first download we cannot download any more episodes.

About this app

Wordbox is proud to present you the Mahabharata Audiocast Android Application. This audio book contains the lectures narrated by Mr. Lawrence Manzo. The lecture series contains of 100 Podcast Episodes of the Great Indian Epic "Mahabharata".

Mr. Lawrence Manzo comes from Felton, California, United States. He is a software developer by profession. However, he also is a student of history and religious philisophy. Mr. Lawrence Manzo spent a year studying abroad at Delhi, India and fell in love with the vibrant and colorful country. His love for India was so immense that he did not wanted to go back to his home! He was fascinated by the history of North India and discovered the philosophy of Vedanta and the practice of Bhakti. Over the years, this interest has led Mr. Manzo to the Mahabharata. He found a number of abridgements and read each of them, but he did not trust the translators interpretation of the epic, so he was drawn to the unabridged translations. As Mr. Manzo worked through the unabridged version(s), it became clear to him how very unaccessible this epic is, despite its popularity. A podcast seemed like a perfect way to convey the story. The epic is often ambiguous, and most authors try to fill in the blanks with their own ideas of what they think might have happened. The podcast allowed Mr. Lawrence Manzo to simply present the ambiguities, explore the possible explanations, but he still leaves it up to the listener to decide on what to believe.

We thank him for his amazing work of creating Mahabharata Podcast and enlightening all of us with his wonderful lectures and giving us a chance to look at this epic story like never before.
