It is clear both from my own personal experience and reviews from other PURCHASERS of this App that it will not function on Huawei phones. WHY will the developers not acknowledge this and explain why they do nothing to address the issue.??

***Be warned, this does NOT contain all breeding species*** This has been a great app, not the easiest though. The illustrations are very artistic and well done. However, Since 2017 I've been asking for them to add the great white egret but still nothing - don't they realise that they are now officially a breeding species in the UK? It appears that they may be using data that is out of date! This app is fine for non-serious birders but if your after something more complete I'd look elsewhere.

I used to love this app on my old ZTE Blade Lite. Excellent resource with plenty of audio and visual references for the many species in the database. However, since upgrading my phone to a Huawei P Smart 2019 I have had multiple problems with the app. The main issue is that it won't download the database. I've tried downloading it to the internal storage and my micro SD, but in each case it just does nothing after saying 'Starting download'. I've made sure the app is fully updated (and reinstalled it several times), plus my Android OS is fully up to date as well. At one point the app also refused to even open, crash on startup. I've noticed another reviewer reporting the same issue on a Huawei phone. Last week I sent a message to the developers via their website but have heard nothing back from them. This is incredible frustrating and I'll be looking for an alternative now. A shame, as like I said, the app is potentially excellent.

Pretty good cloud content, as far as I can tell, but very laggy, menu selections take an age (well, several seconds anyway) to respond. Also, the database wouldn't download to SD, and when I eventually managed to download it to internal storage the app hangs every time you select a bird from the browser page. Please sort, as this is not good enough for an app that cost £9. Samsung A8 2018 with Android Pie and Samsung One UI. Update - deleted the database and re downloaded and now it works.

There is no better ornithological app out there, but after switching to a Samsung A10 - Version 9, Pie - the database fails to download. I prefer to have the offline files when in the field. Sooooo, I uninstalled the app with Revo Uninstaller, and downloaded the app again but the issue persists. Both app versions are 7.6.826 which is currently the latest release. The US version of iBird Pro is fine on the same phone, and I'm concerned about this UK version as I'll be heading back home to England shortly to lead a tour. Hopefully an updated version will be available soon!

The app seems to work fine on an Honor 10 phone. It opens quickly and I haven't experienced any operating problems. The only thing that is seriously broken, and a waste of money and space, is the birds around me add on. It finds my location and map is correct, however the list of birds near me apparently doesn't even include the most common birds in the area like house, sparrows, Blackbird, Robins which are everywhere here?. Update... App closes.. Doesn't seem to like honor/huawei phones.
