Жизнь Фэй преподнесла много. Несмотря на имя, она живет не в сказке и, вопреки современному настоящему, терпит порой средневековые унижения. В ее жизни не было радости, пока она не познакомилась с двумя совершенно разными, но близкими друзьями. Они становятся для Фэй спасением, а она, сама того не ведая, спасет их. Они не могут расстаться друг с другом, и связь эта продолжалась бы до бесконечности. Ни Фэй, ни ее любовники не в силах сделать выбор. Дружба их сродни любви, она претерпевает все преграды. Но все же Фэй находит в себе силы покинуть их и навсегда уехать из родного города.
Много событий происходит за десять лет разлуки, но их чувства не угасают и вновь вспыхивают при случайной встрече. Судьба уготовила им еще одно испытание – втроем они попадают в результате авиакатастрофы в условия дикой природы. Там им приходится выживать и переживать все чувства заново. Вечерами, сидя у костра, они раскрывают свои личности, не утаивая друг от друга самого сокровенного. Каждый из трех героев рассказывает историю о себе, которая открывает часть их прошлого и заставляет посмотреть друг на друга иными глазами.
