Established in 2012, Star FM is a commercial radio station based in Serekunda, The Gambia. The station broadcasts across the country. Boasting of a largely youthful team, Star FM is an urban culture driven station, whose primary target group for listener-ship is children, youth and the elderly. The majority of listeners of the station are youths and elders. Star FM is live streaming and is accessible to listeners across the world via its website. Star FM”s programming is broken into music, talk, news and sports with a priority of pushing forward issues that are in the public interest and are underpinned by values and an ideological fibre that seeks to promote unity, cohesion, development and shared purpose.
