This app works generally pretty well with the DEERC DE22 drone. I am currently using it with a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra phone. I tried using it with a Samsung Tab A 10.1 (2019) tablet but while the tablet will connect to the drone's WiFi the app does not seem to talk to the drone. I deducted 2 stars because of 3 issues I came across: 1. At times when I take a picture using the button on the controller the video stream from the drone to my phone freezes. The app does not freeze. I can go into settings, bring up the map and so on. If I exit the app and start it again there is no video from the drone. The screen is blank. 2. After I start this app on my Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Samsung Gallery starts showing 0 byte files with a numeric filename and the .jpg extension. I can delete these files but the next time I start the app these 0 byte files start appearing again. 3. While in Settings I can change the units between metric and imperial the Flight Distance, Flight Altitude and Return Altitude limits are always shown in metric regardless of the Unit setting.

Still room for improvement, but much better than before. Now that the stuck in beginner mode bug has been fixed with the last update, i do NOT regret paying $300 bux for this drone. Before the last bug fix though i was ready to trash this thing. App still has room for improvements. A couple of programmed shots for beginner pilots to be able to pull off cinematic shots with ease would be nice.

Bought this drone, and like all of the other comments regarding not being able to get out of beginner's mode, I'm returning my drone, and wait until I can afford the DJI drone that I really wanted. The developers of the app obviously don't read the reviews, or the beginner's situation would be fixed. I thought I'd give DEERC a try, but they've lost my business!

The new version of Deerc GPS ver. 1.1.4 of the software will no longer communicate with my month old DEERC DE22 GPS Drone . Version 1.1.1 worked fine, but after receiving 2 emails to upgrade, I mistakenly did. Update: Holy Stone provided guidance to "Enable the Airplane Mode" and then connect the wifi to the DeercFPV network. Problem solved, software is working like a champ.

As of the latest update, I'm changing my review to 4 stars. Cause there is always room for improvement. But my reasons for earlier low review has been resolved. Flight ceiling and range adjustments can now be saved, immediately, instead of getting lost after 5 minutes save setting spin cycle.

Limited fun the app keeps you in beginners mode you can change it all you want but the changes will not get saved and the developer doesn't seem to care based off the other comments about this app wish there was another that would work for the drone.
