Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Vetlink on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

Welcome to PVAMU VETLINK. This app is developed to assist farmers in managing and report sick animals, they can also search for possible solutions. This project is a combined effort by the Computer Science Department (Dr. Y. Yang) and the Cooperate Agricultural Research Center (Dr. P. M. Johnson). Graduate student Rong Ren, Echi Mathias, and undergraduate student Uchechukwu Uboh.

Dr. Yang’s research interests include Smart Human-Computer Interface, Smart Sensor Systems, Computer Graphics, Scientific Visualization, Distributed Virtual Reality Learning/Training Environment, and Computer Networks. Dr. Paul Johnson Love for technology and interest in assisting small farmers has motivated to seek funding to advance his desire to help farmers.

Dr. P. M. Johnson passion for technology and love for animals motivated him to find ways to assist farmers in managing their animal health issues. In 2013 Dr. Johnson’s idea “Establishing a Novel Livestock Information Delivery System” was funded by the USDA 1890 Capacity Building Grant Program.
