Question, does this app support listening to a physical keyboard or linking via midi to see if you're playing the correct keys, chords, etc?

If there was an option to use the microphone (listening for an actual piano) instead of an on-screen piano, that would make this a really nice companion/practice app.

I've had it installed forever but only just got around to trying it out, and it's awesome. Very simple but very useful and I love the sound and how quickly the polyphonic keys are responsive. The jam function is AWESOME for knocking out quick recordings of ideas as they come into your head, just playing chords with three fingers, and you can record right in the app! The metronome isn't bad either. The depth of available function is right off the bat way more than I expected. Totally dope app. Edit: After writing this review I discovered even more sweet functions, including background in-app play of any music stored on your phone. I'm not sure what could be left in Pro because the free version is so great, but I'll buy Pro soon when I can just to support and skip ads. This RULES. I'll be using this a lot!

I can't play a piano, so I can't speak to all the technical aspects of the program. I can say that I have been learning the different scales and chords. This program highlights keys if you want, which through repetition teaches effectively for me. There are games to test yourself, and even the ability to play popular songs. The jam feature even allows you to record your masterpiece. I really have been enjoying this app, and suggest anyone with a desire to learn about the piano to give it a try.

This is an app with an identity crisis. By the features it offers, it presents itself as a teaching or reference tool and as a game. I can't speak to the gaming part, but I wanted a reference. As a reference it lacked some usability features. You should be able to look up the notes of a scale without showing the keyboard, and you should be able to exit a screen showing the keyboard without making a lot of noise. Other than the usability problems, the app is stable.

Great app for learning scales and chords at any non-beginner level. A better scroll feature to move the keyboard would be nice, and playing a scale or chord in another octave should be accepted. Other than that, it's very good.
