I really like it but TTS speech isn't working for some of my languages. I went into the settings for the app and they're on and should play automatically. I also turned on TTS in my phone settings for my target languages. Is there something I'm missing? UPDATE : I was missing something, it was another setting on my phone and not the app. 😃

I just downloaded the app and I got to the point where I could put in a language and I get a choice of "New words", "Grammer" & "both". But no matter which one I click I get the error message "something went wrong resources could not be updated". Perhaps there's something I'm doing wrong and don't understand. Almost seems like there's something I should have downloaded first. However there's no explanation and no preferences button."

I just use the free app for learning japanese, and for someone that isn't super intensely studying it works well for me! you only gey a measly 50 cards per day including your reviews, so not a ton. But, if you are just a hobbyist free is perfect. if you are super dedicated to learning you'll have to buy the full version to get the results you want, but the free works well for me! the spaced repetition process seems to work well for me.

If there's one thing, which to me is unacceptable, it's when you are forced to have Internet connection everywhere and all the time, just for the app to work. This is the case with Anki Pro and the main reason, I'm just deleting it. There are other apps offering similar features, while working offline. And as usual, you need to pay, if you want certain important features, maybe like colored letters or even enough time to learn. Here there will be a limit.

If you've read about "Anki" online for studying purposes this isn't the app you've likely read about. That would be AnkiDroid, which is free but doesn't quite look as good. That being said, this app is ok. However, expect to pay, as the free version is unlikely to meet your needs. I stoped using this in favor of AnkiDroid which has everything this app has (if not more) but is free. I didn't like feeling duped, and I see no reason to pay for something I could get for free.

Missing a lot of features, even the pro version doesn't change much. Mutilates imported Anki decks and can't filter out what you want to study easily
